We are proud to share the progress of a comprehensive rehabilitation project that is transforming a historic building in the heart of Reus. Located on the emblematic Llovera street, this work not only seeks to bring life back to a deteriorated structure, but also to join two registry estates in one and revitalize its environment.
A new start for a building in poor condition
The building in question was in a critical state, with the interior structure fully pointed due to its fragility. Despite this, the commercial premises on the ground floor continued to operate, which underlined the urgency and complexity of the intervention. To ensure the stability of the building, it was necessary to micro-pilot the foundation, a task that required precision and experience.
Of deteriorated structure in modern multi-family building
The rehabilitation project will transform the building into a multi-family structure that will include a commercial premises on the ground and first floors, and three homes on the upper floors. This approach not only maximises the use of space, but also offers new residential and commercial opportunities in a privileged location.
Respecting and revitalizing architectural heritage
One of the most outstanding aspects of this rehabilitation is the work on the façade, classified as heritage due to the reform carried out in 1906 by the architect Francesc Batlle i Amprès. The intervention in the façade is not limited to its cleaning and the reconstruction of ornamental elements; it also includes the recovery of original textures and colors, and the elimination of inappropriate elements added in recent decades.
